1968 AL Game: Min. @ Det.

June 12, 1968

In a great pitching duel, Mickey Lolich and the Detroit Tigers came out on top of Jim Kaat and the Minnesota Twins 1-0. The only run of the game was scored on a homerun in the 7th inning by the unlikeliest of hitters, Ray Oyler. For Oyler, it was his 1st homer of the season (rolled a 3-11 vs. lefties). Mickey Lolich went the distance for Detroit, throwing a 4-hit shutout for his 12th Win of the season.
