1968 Detroit Game: Denny McLain Start #27

July 31, 1968

Denny McLain went the distance and got his 16th Win of the season as the Detroit Tigers came from behind to defeat the Washington Senators 4-3. McLain pitched well, but gave up 2 homeruns among the 4 hits he allowed. The Tigers came back from a 2-1 deficit by scoring 3 runs in the bottom of the 6th inning. The big blow came from an unlikely source, Dick Tracewski's 2 run homer.
