WEB GEMS- Bot 9th: Ray Oyler robbed Paul Casanova of a base hit.

Left fielder Willie Horton knocked 3 homeruns and had 5 RBI as the Detroit
Tigers crushed the reeling Washington Senators 10 to 0.

Horton provided much of the offense. He belted a three-run homer in the 1st
inning, hit a bases-empty home run in the 5th inning, doubled in the 7th
inning and cracked a solo homerun in the 9th inning. Detroit finished with
12 hits while Washington ended up with 5.

The win was credited to Mickey Lolich(5-1) who went 7 innings allowing no
runs. The loss was charged to Joe Coleman(1-5). 'I felt great out there
tonight' Horton said. 'I was seeing the ball perfectly, and I was right on
it with my swing.
