1968 NL Game: Chi. @ LA

May 14, 1968

Don Drysdale (pictured) and Fergie Jenkins locked up in a tense pitching battle tonight in LA. Both pitchers went the distance before Drysdale and the Dodgers came out on top of the Chicago Cubs 1-0 in 10 innings. Rocky Colavito led off the bottom of the 10th for LA and hit a game winning homerun off hard luck loser Jenkins. Drysdale has had trouble getting run support this season and had to pitch extra-innings to get a Win in this game. He is now 4-3 with a 1.13 ERA.
